As your machine goes through the process of making ice, dissolved minerals will be precipitated out as scale deposits, which must be removed regularly to maintain peak efficiency. This cleaner uses a phosphoric acid solution to dissolve away scale buildup so that your machine can work the way it was intended to, and it won't give off any harsh fumes in the process. Best of all, it's formulated to be safe on ice machines with tin- or nickel-plated evaporators, unlike some cleaners.
To use the Arctic ice machine cleaner, circulate and brush a solution of 2 oz. of concentrate per gallon of water onto all surfaces. Allow the cleaner to soak for an additional 10 minutes and follow up with a thorough fresh water rinse. Sanitizing your ice machine after cleaning is also recommended. Clean your ice machine often to keep it working well! If your ice machine is having trouble keeping up with demand, try cleaning it with this and a sanitizer as per the instructions. If that doesn't work, try cleaning the condenser (but not with this obviously). This product is cheap and does a good job.
